Program-Related Investments
The Otto Bremer Foundation provides program-related investments as well as grants.
As defined by The Foundation Center, program-related investments (PRIs) are tools that foundations can use to support charitable activities that can potentially return the capital to the foundation within an established time frame. PRIs make it possible for the foundation to reinvest the returned principal in other mission-relevant work. PRIs can include financing methods commonly associated with banks or other private investors, such as loans, loan guarantees, linked deposits and even equity investments in charitable organizations or in commercial ventures for charitable purposes.
Our Grantmaking Overview provides information on the Foundation’s funding focus, eligibility requirements, and application and review process that applies to both grants and program-related investments.
